WHO AM I

Hi everyone,my name is Xinyi Zhang and you can call me Siniyah.

I’m from the middle of China called Hunan which is a very “Spicy” city，because people in city where I live can eat lots of spicy food(but I can’t eat too much).There are lots of traditional local food like stinky tofu,although some people say that it smells bad and looks like out of dates,it has crispy skin and tender inside because you need to fry this stinky tofu.After heating it,bad smells will be covered by the smell of fried food.China has variety of traditional foods and cuisines,different area has different taste.Because of the changing geographical environment,Chinese people need to adapt to it and find the most suitable way to live,and that’s why we have loads of cuisines.

What I like

I love photography so much.I used to prefer take photos with people and record their beautiful moments,but right now I’m more focusing on city scenery.Changes in person can be very obvious after one year,but changes in city scenery can be very slow,so maybe after 20 years when I looking back those city scenery photos,I can finally taste the feeling of the art of time.Through taking photos,I also made lots of friends,when we talked about idea of the photos topic,we could share opinions and find same hobby!!I think that is a very good process.In fact I wanted to be a photographer when I was 18,but after I tried to take a few sets of photos in two days and only made a little money, I gave up the idea of making a living from photography.
I also like cooking and movies and so on.I used to be in part of on live gala show as a director in one of the famous satellite TV in China.Before I start my oversea’s study about digital media,I have already accumulated some experiences about media area,and I’m also looking for opportunities which can let me know more about this industry.About cooking,as an international students,that is a necessary course for us to learn.We have to cook by ourself.Luckly,I’m already acquired cooking skills before I came here,so when I homesick,I can make foods that I missed so much.Nevertheless,I believe cooking is another way to connect with my life.From preparation time,I need to organize todays menu and what ingredients I require,until I finished all meals.I’m always thinking during the whole progress and considering what I want.It’s a very interesting way for me to have a conversation with myself.Meanwhile,cooking can also help me eating more health.

I love nature .Compared with indoor activities,I prefer to go outside.Walking,climbing or something else.So if you know some beautiful hiking route in the UK,just recommended it to me!! In college,I want to do some research about sustainable and recycle.I want to know how media can have more potential supportable power in those relevant topics.Due to the reason that when I upset,I will always looking for “nature’s help” and I believe nature’s power is invisible but out of human beings understanding.When I was in China,I went to some lake parks every week,but compared with river or sea,I like mountains more.

I especially look forward to my life in the UK in the future. I hope to explore more natural landscapes and get to know people from different countries.
