Hello World!

Hi everyone! My name is Cavin, I’m 23 this year and I was born and raised in Singapore.

Here’s a little more about myself!

Before coming to London, I studied in a Singapore polytechnic (which I think is somewhat equivalent to an apprenticeship here) and graduated with a Diploma in Communications and Media Management. Shortly after graduation, I enlisted into the army to complete my compulsory National Service. The two years where I served in the Singapore Armed Forces were some of the best years of my life, as I had the privilege to meet and serve alongside some of the smartest, funniest and toughest people throughout my time in the army!

My Hobbies & Interests

My biggest hobby is probably gaming. I mainly play FIFA and Formula 1 on Xbox, and playing those games has instilled that competitive spirit that I now apply to most areas in my life!

I do boxing as a sport, I started learning it in 2018 after being really inspired by Conor McGregor and despite its physical demands, I still enjoy doing it so much.

Apart from those hobbies, I also love music. I mostly listen to Pop and RnB and some of the artists I look up to are Justin Bieber, Tone Stith and Alina Baraz. I started learning music production in 2020 when lockdowns were happening due to COVID, and I’d love to have the chance to release some of my own music in the future!

My Goals

Coming to University and choosing to study in the Digital Media & Production pathway, I’m aiming to be more spontaneous creatively and to also develop myself further as a presenter/entertainer.

I’m passionate about radio production and presentation, and I’d love to be able to start my career in this field here in the UK. I’ve been privileged to be given the opportunity to be a part of both campus and national radio stations back in Singapore, but looking forward I’d like to continue building myself up and push the boundaries to see how far I can go!
