Allow me to introduce myself…

The flags of Jamaica (left) and Algeria (right)

My name is Yassine Sharpe and I study digital media at the University of Westminster. I have lived in London all my life. As well as this, my dad’s side of the family is originally from Jamaica in the Caribbean while my mother’s side is from Algeria in North Africa. I am also fluent in French.

My main interests include Travelling as I really enjoy learning about other people’s cultures from around the world. In my 19 years, I have travelled to 19 countries around the world and hope to travel to many more in the future.

Countries that I have visited.

In addition to this, I love watching Football and supporting West Ham as I enjoy understanding the tactics that managers and players implement on the pitch. Growing up my favourite player was Arjen Robben who was a Dutch footballer who played for the German team Bayern Munich. When I was younger I would spend a lot of my time watching “Arjen Robben skills and highlights” videos on YouTube.

In addition to watching Football and travelling, I love to listen to music. I wouldn’t say I have a favourite artist in particular as my taste in music is very wide-ranged. I would say my most listened-to genre is rap but I do also enjoy other music categories such as reggae and UK garage music.

Thanks for getting to know me.
