My name is Zhiling Zhang. You can also call me Tiffany. I am nineteen years old and I come from Shanghai, China.
My study daily
I am currently studying Digital Media at the University of Westminster. In fact, I was quite nervous about college life in the first year, because it was the first year for me to study abroad, which meant a new environment and challenge. But when I really stepped into the study life, I found that media is not only a theoretical subject, our life can not be separated from media. Media knowledge makes me more interested in learning and more motivated to explore this subject through various explorations in sound, vision and physics. Of course, I also met many good friends in the university. We took classes together and made group homework together, which enriched my study life.
My hobbies
My hobbies are drawing, playing guitar and writing calligraphy. I like to use brushes to express different emotions, no matter on the electronic screen or on the canvas, I hope my works can convey happiness to people. In this summer vacation, my paintings also appeared in the exhibition hall in Shanghai in the form of joint brand.
The practice of calligraphy is influenced by my mother, who is particularly keen to practice it and finds it a way to decompress. Under this opportunity, I also began to try to write some calligraphy works.Brush calligraphy is the treasure of Chinese culture, which contains rich cultural connotation. Learning brush calligraphy can help us better understand Chinese culture. By writing Chinese characters, we can understand the historical background, cultural connotation and the story behind each character.
I also like to play guitar, acoustic guitar and bass. I’m very interested in both… Although I am still a beginner at present, I believe I will play better and better with my interest.
my daily routine
Last summer vacation, I participated in an internship in a luxury goods company in Shanghai, where I was responsible for managing the goods, taking pictures and writing some introductions about the goods.
But I wanted my life to be a little more varied, so I went to work as a bartender at a craft beer pub called Jump the Sea. There I learned the classification of individual beers and how to control the valve to make a “perfect beer”.
